Yep... thats how long it took me to read this book... and I LOVED every moment of it!
Granted there were a couple very long nights (and thank goodness Kandis and Jessica showed up in time to play with my kids)... but by the time I got to... well... about half way through... (about the time she found the saltines)... I just couldn't put it down!!!

Family Fun
I think I have said a million times... I LOVE COMPANY! This week both JessieBob and Kandis were visiting. One of (just ONE of) the great things about when the Aunts visit.... they spend LOTS of time entertaining the kids, so its almost like a vacation for me... although I do cook the meals... they even clean up!!! Yep... vacation!!!
The first night there were here we decided to go for home cooked goodness... a barbecue and the first corn on the cob of the year.... how much fun do you think one could have with corn on the cob?.... well, I'll tell you...

(ok, not actually corn... but since she's the one that started the whole thing I had to put in a picture of her eating something!)
On Monday, one of the first things that was done was a car wash!
After all Kandis' car did sit for months, so it was in need... although there was actually some other ideas for the "car wash" namely.... WATER FIGHT!!!
I decided to just be around long enough to take a few pictures... then I was off... grocery shopping without the kids.... I think I said it before.... vacation!!!
Then, on Tuesday, we actually got to have a girls night. We ate a ton of popcorn and watched one of my favorite movies (Griffin & Phoenix) that I have been wanting to watch with them for like a year... and BALLED OUR EYES OUT! What better for a girls night than balling your eyes out, right?!?!
That was obviously the before picture!
On Thursday we all loaded up and headed up to the canyon. This has turned into one of our favorite things to do. We went up to a lake called Silver Lake... I am sure it is the coldest spot in the Wasatch front!!! Seriously! When we got there Jessie jumped right in and played with the kids
then after an hour or so Kandis decided to join in... although.... her jaw hurt... or something... so there was a big fight trying to get her into the water... but her jaw hurt (?!?!?)
so after enough squealing and screaming the girls gave up trying to get her in any further and she played some Frisbee with Canyon (oh yes... his bliss)
then daddy decided he needed to learn to swim... or look at fish... or something. Anyway... it was very cute
Our skinny minny Ashlyn, with 0% body fat, could only stay in the water for a few minutes at a time. I tried to take a picture of her purple lips, but it didn't come out too clearly
THEN I decided I would make my grand entrance... Oh holy night!!! THAT WATER IS COLD!!!! Come to find out it wasn't so much that Kandis' jaw hurt (whatever!), as the water was just physically painful to be in (we still cant figure out why she didn't just say something like that)! I don't know how the kids played for so long!
Nope, no pictures of me in the water.... this was one of the only pictures giving proof that I was actually there... I sure love my husband.
After a few hours in the sun we decided it was time to load up. We had a really fun day, and thankfully up in the mountains it is about 10 degrees cooler than it was at home, so with the water and the breeze and the cooler temperatures it was... as Canyon would say.... awesome!
Update
We're not moving. Thats a good thing... although we were really excited to potentially have the opportunity to live as the "wilderness family". CJ is actually in the midst of a huge (honestly) business opportunity, unlike any of the dozens of other business opportunities he has had in the last 6 years... but I am going to keep you hanging as to what it is. He is working with one of our neighbors so after we prayed about things, and didn't get the positive confirmation we were hoping for, we decided to stay close and work on making the fortune. The preliminary trials are very positive, so the break through could be just around the corner!!!
