Blake

Since I dated only one boy from the time I was 15 until I was 21, nothing terribly exciting happened. We assumed we would go to all the dances together so nobody ever did anything especially sweet or creative to ask me to one. In fact, I never even knew people did creative things to ask people to dances... until this week. A friend came and kidnapped Blake (only Blake didn't know what was going on) and a very cute girl came a decorated his room to ask him to the Valentines dance. Since I had never been aware of such things I let her and her friend do whatever they wanted...

(no, thats not carpet... allll confetti!!!)
Probably needless to say.... CJ was a little disturbed by the quantity of glitter and confetti (he's not one for messes)...
(Blake was reading who all this was actually from)

although Canyon didn't seem to mind at all

I only wish I would have gotten a picture of the girls who were decorating... and our girls, who were completely fascinated at what was going on.

Spokane SNOW!

So the snow we've been hearing about in Spokane is legitimate (mom just hasnt figured out the whole date thing on her camera yet)!

The last time there was this much snow was like 15 years ago! I must say, I'm not so sad I've missed it! The Larson's have been snowed in too and were actually so bored they made a snowman for each grandchild!!! I will post those pictures soon, hopefully! They were very cute! We'll be there soon! Ashlyn was worried that Gramma might get a little cold hugging those snowmen! It looks like the weather is past us and we make it for DAYTONA!!! It just wouldn't be the same watching it with anyone else... unless, of course, I was in Florida!

ME!!

So all my friends have these fun little blogs about them, and although I am very proud of my family... I have decided it should be ok for me to just write about me too, every once in a while... even though this is the Larson Family blog. I mean, hey, I'm the one putting forth the effort to do this! But I'll do that later! :) Afterall, this post is, however, for my own personal gratification (my spell check isn't working... any suggestions?!?).!!
So CJ is sick. All you wives out there know what fun it is when your husband is home sick... UGH! We try to find natural remedies for things before we buy the hard core stuff... even though we LOVE PHARMACEUTICAL REPS!!! So we've heard that with the first symptoms of colds you should put peroxide in your ears (unless you have a ruptured eardrum). Not sure why, but I researched it and it came up legitimate (we'll keep you updated on whether or not this worked). So I went out and bought some new peroxide. Today was peroxide day! CJ handled it like a real man, and Kailey, of course, stressed out a little to have something bubbling in her ear!

Blake however.... is really becoming a man!!! He was worried I was going to pour it into his EYE!!! I've never poured anything in his eye before... although , I guess I've never poured anything in his ear before either?!?!

Yes, this was after I had already poured it into his ear (a significant amount of time actually.) Maybe he thought I was going to throw some in his eye??! Just kidding Blake!!

CHRISTMAS... in February part 3

Ok, I gained control of myself for this one. (If you went to part 1 first I did put a disclaimer that these posts are more for Nina, although everyone is welcome... we love you Nina!!) Even though this is a slight reenactment, her reaction is the same as when I missed it the first time!

For those of you who don't know one of our closest friends, Nita, she is like an aunt to the kids... a definate member of the family. So much so that Canyon can still remember her even though we haven't seen or talked to her (other than by email) since June. That's pretty good for a 2 year old! She also gave us a video photo album of the last 5 and a half years! You know you have a true friend when they have enough photo memories to create a DVD. WE LOVED IT! Thank you!

CHRISTMAS... in February part 2

I did a little better with this one (if that statement doesn't make sense you obviously didn't watch part 1 first!). I am now beginning to realize where my children get their ... well you can come up with your own word for it!

Yes, she liked it!

CHRISTMAS... in February part 1

Ok so friends and loved ones are giving up on us ever making it back to Spokane. Tthis post is more for the gift giver, Nita (aka Nina)... but others of you may get some comic relief not only from Canyons squeeling, but my own WARNING: Turn the volume down a notch or two on your computer! I SWORE I would never talk like this to my children... and it was just one of those things I couldnt figure out how to edit out (SO embarrassing!) ... my apologies!
